Fumblepaw's Diary - 1st September

I went to Mogsmead to get supplies in anticipation of the start of term party on Sunday. We needed balloons, bunting, party poppers, paper hats and a whole smorgasbord of finger food. Mainly little sausage rolls and crisps and mini pizzas, most of the students have youthful tastes in food so that sort of thing should be fine.

We have a few students with special requirements that will need catering for, I believe Prinzi is lactose intolerant and Dot is currently going through a vegetarian phase as well as a few other oddballs...

We have never had proper staff in the kitchens at Mogwarts, we've tried to hire but for one reason or another the position seems to remain vacant. Catboy said he'd come and work in the kitchens last year but after drafting several contracts he still hasn't come to work.

It would be nice to get a regular member of staff in the kitchens, I know the students would appreciate it. There were many weeks last year where all we had to eat was a rudimentary cabbage stew and whilst I'm thankful we had the cabbages the castle was a windy place for a while...
